Next up are the Arizona Diamondbacks, who are in for a three-game series.
For the Brewers, Chad Patrick is on the mound tonight. He’s coming off of a rough appearance in Detroit where he allowed four runs in four innings. Other than that appearance, he’s been good this season, allowing zero or one runs in his other four appearances.
For the Diamondbacks, Merrill Kelly is making his third start of the season. He’s coming off of a bad start against the White Sox, allowing eight runs in 4 1/3 innings. Prior to tonight’s game, we received several injury updates on the Brewers’ roster from Pat Murphy: Jackson Chourio and Andrew Vaughn are both scheduled to begin rehab appearances tomorrow night with Triple-A Nashville.
Their expected return is on Monday, May 4. Quinn Priester is throwing a side session tomorrow and will make his next rehab start on Friday. He’s expected to throw “four ups” and around 60-65 pitches.
