Point Boro 165-Pounder Jake Clayton Commits to Rutgers Wrestling

A multi-sport athlete for Point Boro, who also plays football and baseball, Clayton has made the state championship all three years he has been wrestling so far. In 2024, he wrestled with the 157-pounders and earned 8th place in the tournament. In 2025 and 2026, he wrestled with the 165-pounders, earning fourth and fifth place during those years.

Clayton finished this past season with a record of 42-4 and has won 91. 3 percent of his matches over his high school career. He joins 113-pounder Justin Farnsworth, 126-pounder Carter Chunko, and 285-pounder Lukas Zalota as high school wrestlers who have committed to Rutgers for the 2027 class.
