New England Patriots linebacker Robert Spillane showed support for head coach Mike Vrabel on Tuesday.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass — Despite everything going on, Robert Spillane made sure everybody knew how he feels about his head coach. "I think everybody's personal relationship with Coach is their personal relationship with coach, so that's not for me to speak on," he began. "I love coach, and I'm going to be here to support him, as he would be there to support me through anything.

"I'm just a player, and I'm trying to do that as best as I can. " Specifically, the New England Patriots linebacker was asked about what he's observed from his head coach amid all the controversy surrounding his alleged relationship with former NFL Insider Dianna Russini. "Coach coaches football.

And he keeps the main thing the main thing. So, I know he's dealing with personal issues, but when we're in the building, we speak football. " He was also asked about his takeaways from Vrabel's comments to the players last week regarding the situation.

"Yeah, I think this year, 2026, it's a brand new year for us," Spillane said. "It's going to be a brand new team. Being Week 2 of OTAs, it's really a chance for us to come together, to get to know our teammates, to learn and connect with each other, and really grow with our craft.
