Valdes-Scantling signs with Cowboys, who play Packers in 2026
Marquez Valdes-Scantling, now 31, is still bouncing around the NFL and just landed with the Dallas Cowboys for 2026.
Former Green Bay Packers big-play receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, 31, has caught on with another NFL team, signing with the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year deal. The Packers ' fifth-round draft choice in 2019 played 59 games (starting 39) over four seasons for Green Bay, catching 13 touchdowns. He won two Super Bowls with Kansas City after the 2022 and 2023 seasons, then made brief stops in Buffalo, New Orleans and San Francisco before closing the 2025 season with former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh.
He had three catches for 26 yards in Pittsburgh's playoff loss to Houston. All told, he's played in 12 playoff games, starting seven, and has 27 playoff receptions and four touchdowns, including one in the 25-22 overtime win over San Francisco in Super Bowl LVIII. Valdes-Scantling heads to a team that already has a boatload of receiver options, including CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and Ryan Flournoy.
