Georgia HC on Vikings 2026 UDFA: 'He's positionless'
The Vikings added a fun UDFA wide receiver after the 2026 NFL Draft and now his college coach is reminding folks how special he can be.
The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver group saw no draft picks added to it, but they did sign some players after the draft as UDFAs. Not many UDFAs make an impact in the NFL right off the bat, but those who can do a variety of things for a team tend to stick around longer to help find themselves on the depth chart in a designated role. One of the player that could do that is Georgia wide receiver Colbie Young.
The SEC playmaker for the Bulldogs got some high praise from his head coach recently. When discussing Young, Kirby Smart explained he is "positionless," pointing to his dynamic skillset to make an impact on the Vikings or any team that would have landed him. "Heโs a positionless player.
He can play tight end. He can play Wildcat quarterback. He can play tailback.
Heโs certainly a good receiver. Heโs a great returner. Thatโs what people are moving to in the NFL, guys that can go out there and create matchups.
