FSU extends offer to in-state 2028 offensive lineman

•Sky F1

2028 three-star offensive lineman Ashton Jones announced on Tuesday that he's received an offer from Florida State.

Florida State has extended an offer to another 2028 offensive lineman. After extending one to unranked Teauariki Siaoloa , the Seminoles have also offered Ashton Jones out of Orlando, Florida. "Blessed To Recieve My First Division 1 Offer From The University Of Florida State šŸ¢," Jones wrote on social media.

At 6-foot-5 and 350 pounds, Jones will likely be recruited as an interior offensive lineman. However, he plays guard and tackle for the First Academy Royals. He's also a multi-sport athlete as he also competes in track and field.

Offensive line coach Herb Hand has done his thing bringing in talent through the transfer portal over the last two offseasons, and there's some promising recruits within the 2026 class, which is headlined by three-star signee Jakobe Green. With that said, he needs to nail the 2027 and 2028 cycles when it comes to acquiring offensive line talent.
