Joe Fagnano signs UDFA deal with Baltimore Ravens
The most prolific UConn passer since Dan Orlovsky will get a chance with the Ravens.
After going undrafted, former UConn quarterback Joe Fagnano has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens, NFL. com’s Ian Rappaport reported. The Ravens initially invited Fagnano to minicamp.
Now he has a slightly more secure deal with the franchise. Before transferring to UConn, Fagnano spent four seasons (2019-2022) with the Maine Black Bears. In four years, the Pennsylvania native racked up a combined total of 5,466 passing yards for 45 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
In his first year with Connecticut, things took a turn for the worse. In the team’s second outing of the 2023 campaign against the Georgia State Panthers, Fagnano suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. After recovering and returning to action in 2024, the veteran gunslinger performed in 10 matches and led UConn to victory in the 2024 Wasabi Fenway Bowl.
This was the program’s first Bowl win since the PapaJohns. com Bowl in 2009. In his final year with the Huskies, Fagnano carried his 2024 offensive momentum into the 2025 stretch and gave it his all.
