Eagles lose another front office executive to Falcons
Philadelphia’s front office continues to draw leaguewide interest as the Atlanta Falcons hire Eagles executive Bryce Johnston as Senior VP
Success doesn't just show up on Sundays. It shows up in the front office through a day-in, day-out grind. The Philadelphia Eagles have built one of the most respected organizational structures in football.
Philadelphia's sustained success under general manager Howie Roseman hasn't just resulted in wins, playoff runs, and championship appearances. It has also turned the Eagles into something of a developmental hub for front-office talent. Around the league, organizations are taking notice and acting on it.
Teams are calling when they have needs of their own to fulfill. Once again, the Atlanta Falcons are raiding Philadelphia's cupboard in an attempt to elevate what they hope is a growing operation. At this point, Arthur Blank and his franchise seem to have found something in the Eagles' blueprint that they like.
This isn't the first time the Falcons have targeted Philadelphia's personnel department, and it likely won't be the last. Atlanta landed now-former Eagles VP Jeff Scott as its assistant general manager. They've found in Philadelphia's infrastructure a proven models to follow, and now, they're striking again.
