Dane Key reacts to reuniting with his brother in the NFL
"I’ve never played on the same team as my brother,” Dane Key told the Denver Gazette. Now he'll play with Devon Key in the NFL.
When it comes to football, it's a family affair — at least in the Key household, that is. Although Nebraska Cornhuskers wide receiver Dane Key didn't hear his name called on any of the three days of the NFL draft, he was able to celebrate with his family when the Denver Broncos called, wanting to make him an undrafted free agent signing. Key accepted the offer.
Dane's older brother, Devon Key, was named an All-Pro special teamer in 2025 for the Broncos , so one can imagine how having his younger brother sign with his team would be a dream come true. Key's family was equally excited as they realized both brothers were now playing for the Broncos . @Cats_Coverage shared a video of Key's reaction, but they blocked the video from being embedded.
Fans can view it on Twitter/X . “It was just a super exciting moment because until now I’ve never played on the same team as my brother or ever even played against him,” Dane told the Denver Gazette 's Chris Tomasson . "And now I get the chance to be on the same team as my big brother on the biggest stage and all my emotions came out at once.
I was so excited. I wanted to be on the same team as my brother. " Dane told the Gazette that Devon was his hero.
