The Colorado Buffaloes extended an offer to a three-star edge rusher from Louisiana, hoping to add an athletic piece to their 2027 class.

The Colorado Buffaloes are using the late-spring downtime to bolster their recruiting efforts, especially for the 2027 class. Colorado extended an offer on Monday to three-star edge rusher Bryson Phoenix. Phoenix ranks as the nation's No.

819 overall player, the No. 66 EDGE and the No. 22 player from his home state of Louisiana.

At 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, Phoenix is a prototypical edge rusher who can line up at defensive end and outside linebacker. Colorado is only the fifth school to offer the Alexandria, Louisiana native, joining Liberty, Louisiana, Tulane and McNeese. CU is clearly the highest-profile team to offer the edge rusher, perhaps giving them an upper hand when it comes to his recruitment.
