com/TMxxi2uctA — Maryland Tennis (@TerpTennis) April 27, 2026 The news comes after the Terps punched their ticket to their first-ever Big Ten tournament semifinal by upsetting then-No. 2-seed USC 4-2 Friday. Despite falling in the semis to eventual conference champion Michigan, Maryland did enough to impress the selection committee in its best season to date.
Sophomore Emma Ghirardato was a driving force for the entirety of the conference tournament, becoming the sole Terp to land on the Big Ten all-tournament team. Ghirardato has put together a strong campaign this season, anchoring the No. 2 singles spot while holding down the top doubles spot for most of 2026.
