The Dallas Cowboys jumped right into the free agency pool after the NFL Draft ended, not just for undrafted players but for a few veterans.
The Marquez Valdes-Scantling got the most headlines on Monday, but they also made another WR addition: Tyler Johnson. The moves followed the new reporting that emerged that Pickens hasn't yet actually signed his franchise tender. It doesn't seem time for Cowboys fans to panic yet about Pickens' status, but it'd be good news if he at some point actually put pen to paper and accepted the franchise tag for the season ahead.

The 6-foot-1 wideout was originally a fifth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020 NFL Draft. Johnson has a Super Bowl ring from his rookie season playing with Tom Brady.
All told, he's played in 61 NFL games across six NFL seasons between the Bucs, Houston Texans , Los Angeles Rams and New York Jets . Johnson's best season was 2021 in Tampa Bay when he caught 36 passes for 360 yards. In 2024 with the Rams, he had 26 grabs for 291 yards.
