Chelsea could sell £30m Premier League star after difficult first season Chelsea face big decisions over their strikers this summer. The Blues currently have Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu, while Emmanuel Emegha will arrive from sister club Strasbourg. Nicolas Jackson is also set to return after his loan at Bayern Munich ends.
According to The Telegraph , Delap is determined to stay and fight for his future at Stamford Bridge. But Chelsea could sell the 23-year-old, despite joining from Ipswich Town in the last summer window. Delap would not be short of suitors and the club could sell him at a profit given he arrived for just £30 million.
The young striker has endured a difficult first season in West London. He picked up an injury in August that kept him out for two months. The English footballer has started 11 times in the Premier League and scored just once, with Pedro ahead of him in the pecking order.
But despite his struggles, Delap still believes he can make his move a success. He is said to be focused on trying to finish the campaign as positively as possible and returning to his club in the summer to prepare for next season. Delap’s future may depend on who Chelsea appoint as a replacement for Liam Rosenior, who was sacked last week.
