Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts called Alex Vesia to pitch the sixth inning, with the Miami Marlins coming off a three-run inning.

Vesia had previously allowed two runs in the loss against the Chicago Cubs when asked to come out in a similar situation. However, this time, the lefty punched out three without leaking anything. Vesia stopped the Marlins' momentum by first recording a swinging strikeout against Owen Caisse before catching Javier Sanoja looking on an 82 mph slider near the heart of the plate.

He allowed a six-pitch walk to Connor Norby, but let's be clear, the pitch was crashing the top left half of the plate and should have been called a strike. Doesn't matter, as Vesia made a fool of Jakobe Marsee with a four-pitch strikeout as the Marlins hitter tried swinging for the fences. What a bounce back for Alex Vesia.

He got three strikeouts, allowing just one base runner via a walk. Despite his blowup against the Cubs, he is Dave Robertsโ€™ trustiest arm. pic.
