New Boston Huron rallies in seventh inning for softball victory over Flat Rock; home runs carry Airport softball past SMCC.
NEW BOSTON – New Boston Huron’s softball team ignored small ball to get a big win. As Huron prepared to bat in the bottom of the seventh inning of a 3-3 tie with Flat Rock, coach Tedi Belisle huddled with Madison Kuzara. The sophomore was told that if the lead-off hitter got on base, she would be called upon to bunt.

Kuzara tripled and scored on a hit by Addison Ramsby to give Huron a 4-3 victory on Monday, April 27. “This should give them the confidence we have been looking for,” Belisle sai. “They found their passion and energy.
” Ramsby wasted no time delivering the winning hit, picking on the first pitch she saw. She and Kuzara finished with two hits each and Kuzara earned the pitching win. The Flat Rock hitter who gave her the most trouble was Sarah Giroux, who went 2-for-3 with a home run.
