Preps of Week 39 Baseball Jowell Dasni, Layton (Sr,) Behind the a great season so far from senior outfielder Jowell Dasni, Layton has established as the team to beat in Region 1 this season. In 20 games this season, Dasni is batting . 421 with four doubles, six home runs and 30 RBIs.

Last week in a three-game sweep of Syracuse, he went a combined 3 for 7 with four walks and four RBIs. “Jowell is a great player but a better person. His teammates love him for his kindness and work ethic he exemplifies on a daily basis.

He has been a great addition for us this year and has been a constant in our lineup since day one,” said Layton coach Robert Ferneau. “His raw ability and power at the plate is as good as anyone I have ever coached. He is going to be a great player at the next level as well.

” Dasni has signed to play at Antelope Valley College. Softball Skylar Davis, Clearfield (So. ) Just a sophomore, Skylar Davis leads Clearfield in batting average, on-base percentage, runs and hits this season and has been a huge key to the Falcons’ success in the past two months.
