🥎Game of the Day One big swing had the St. Raphael softball team down, but not out, heading to the seventh inning. Two big swings ended up giving the Saints the win.
Trailing by two runs heading to the bottom of the seventh, a triple by Sophie Roman tied the game and one-out triple by Emma Martin brough her home and allowed St. Raphael to walk off with a 4-3 win over Smithfield on Monday night. Things started just fine for the Saints, as a Martin single to center brought in Roman with the game’s first run in the bottom of the first.
But the Sentinels changed things quickly in the top of the third. With two runners on, Sophia Parrillo hit a gapper to right that found its way to the fence and allowed Parrillo to take a trip around the bases and give the Sentinels a 3-1 lead. St.
