Minford, Green second in D-V, D-VII Polls; Clay, Valley, SW also ranked
The same five teams who have been ranked since the start of the regular season continue to hold serve inside the latest Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) State Rankings, as Minford and Green each sit second overall in the Division V and Division VII rankings, respectively, while Clay (eighth in Division VII), Valley (13th in Division V) and South Webster (15th in Division VII) round out the same five units who have been ranked since Week 1. Green, No. 2 in OHSBCA Division VII State Poll (128 points, three first-place votes) Holding firm on its second place standing statewide in Division VII, the Green Bobcatsโ baseball program currently sits second in the OHSBCA Division VII State Baseball Poll with 128 points in all.
Green (14-1, 4-1 SOC I) bounced back from a 4-0 setback at No. 8 Clay on Monday by claiming two big road wins, one at Olive Hill (Ky. ) West Carter by a 5-4 count and the other at SOC I foe Ironton St.
Joseph, notching a 4-3 triumph to put itself in control of its own destiny in the SOC I race. The Bobcats have three big SOC I contests this week against Notre Dame twice โ Monday in Franklin Furnace and Wednesday in Portsmouth โ and Ironton St. Joseph in Franklin Furnace.
David Shoupeโs club has outscored its opposition 117-19 in 2026. In 15 appearances, the entire Green pitching staff, led by primary starters Jon Knapp and Gabe Blevins and rounded out by Riddick Jenkins, Luke Kimbler, Uriah Satterfield and Kase McIntyre, has tallied a 0. 66 ERA.
