Browns NFL Draft: Analyst says KC Concepcion desperately answes need

Yahoo Sports

Draft expert Todd McShay calls new Browns' wide receiver KC Concepcion "Lightning," the perfect solution for Cleveland's biggest problem.

KC Concepcion has the potential to solve the Cleveland Browns ' biggest problem from the past two seasons, scoring the football. Sure, the quarterback position still remains a large question mark for this team, but thanks to what Andrew Berry and the Browns pulled off in this year's draft, they made sure that wide receiver isn't going to be. The start to this solution came at pick number 24 when Cleveland selected KC Concepcion.

Concepcion is a really unique prospect in this year's draft. He absolutely isn't the perfect prospect. The one negative to his game is consistently catching the football.

He had an 11. 7 percent drop rate last season, and in the past two years, he had a combined 19 drops to his name. In the big picture, 19 drops compared to 114 catches is not the end of the world, but it is absolutely something that needs to be improved upon.

Had he not had the drop problem, Concepcion would have been in the same conversation as Carnell Tate and Jordyn Tyson at the top of the draft. Instead, he fell to Cleveland at pick number 24, and while there is that one negative trait, the positive traits are off the charts. Concepcion is a powerful runner with the football in his hands; he is very natural at finding hidden yards after the catch.
