J. Pierzynski played for a lot of managers during his 19-year Major League career, suiting up for seven different teams during that time. One of them was the Boston Red Sox , where he spent part of the 2014 season.

While Pierzynski didn't play for Cora, he still has a ton of respect for him as a manager and believes he'll be difficult to replace after the Red Sox shockingly fired him on Saturday . On Monday's episode of "Foul Territory," the former World Series champion and All-Star catcher explained what makes Cora so special . "Alex Cora was one of the best guys I've ever seen at mixing the analytics and with the players and having communication with players," Pierzynski said.
