They used the No. 32 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft -- the final pick of the first round -- on Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price. And with Price aboard, they've released Cam Akers, a two-time Super Bowl champion RB who is now just bouncing around the NFL as a depth piece.

The Seahawks announced the news on Monday. He also has a ring from time with the Rams .

Akers has also suited up for the Vikings and the Texans in the NFL. The former second-round pick once had a lot of promise, but injuries sapped some of his ability, and he clearly isn't an overly believed-in player at this point. The Seahawks have plenty of running backs on the roster.
