The jersey numbers are here for Green Bay’s draft picks, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag.

The first day at a new job comes with butterflies for many players, but for NFL Draft picks one of the first things they get to do is fun: picking out a jersey number.

The Packers’ numbers are now in — at least initially, with hopefully none of them going through the saga that 2025 first-round pick Matthew Golden did a year ago. Golden was initially assigned 81, holding that number for less than 48 hours, but that was still long enough for the Packers Pro Shop to print up a handful of jerseys for sale. This writer actually saw a Packers fan during Saturday of last year’s draft wearing a #81 Golden jersey and broke it to the wearer that Golden had switched to number 22 instead.

Then at the end of training camp, Golden changed his mind a second time, becoming the first Packer to wear the number zero in team history. These Packers picks probably won’t have any such indecision, partly because of the delay in the number announcement and partly due to last year’s fiasco. Without further ado, here are the numbers as formally announced by the team.

Brandon Cisse: #2 Verdict: Elite Cisse wore number two during his true sophomore season at NC State, but this is a phenomenal number for a highly-drafted skill position player. Shockingly, only two players have worn number two in a game for the Packers in the last 100 years, but Mason Crosby had a long career in it before Malik Willis did an excellent job backing up Jordan Love with that digit. Cisse is a great candidate to continue making this number an exciting one in Green Bay.
