Where does LSU rank in our latest SEC baseball standings? Who claims the top spot with only a few weeks left in the regular season?
We're in the home stretch of the SEC baseball regular season. In a few days, the calendar will flip to May and we'll be inching closer to the SEC Tournament, and not long after that, the NCAA Tournament. Resumes are rounding into form.
Some teams are battling for top-eight seeds and the right to eventually host a Super Regional. For others, a top-eight seed may be a long shot, but a top-16 seed and a chance to host a regional isn't. And some squads just want an invite to the tournament.
LSU falls in that final category, but LSU's postseason hopes grew slimmer after being swept again. LSU hasn't won an SEC game since beating Tennessee on April 5. LSU still has a few chances to improve the resume, but there's not much reason to believe in Jay Johnson's group right now.
After winning the national title in 2025, LSU won't be going back-to-back. But a handful of SEC teams have the ammunition to keep the College World Series in the SEC. Let's take a look at which teams have a chance to go the distance in our latest SEC baseball power rankings.
