Newcastle plot summer move for Chelsea outcast Nicolas Jackson Newcastle United have emerged as surprising contenders to sign Chelsea outcast Nicolas Jackson. According to talkSPORT , the Magpies have identified the 24-year-old striker as a potential summer target and could make their move once his loan spell at Bayern Munich ends. Newcastle have already started making plans for the summer transfer window after watching their 2025/26 Premier League campaign go completely off the rails.

Eddie Howe’s side are a far cry from the side that finished fifth and qualified for the Champions League last season. Newcastle are much closer to the relegation zone than they are to the top five this term. While they’re more or less guaranteed Premier League safety, the capitulation has left the Newcastle faithful calling for a change in the dugout.

However, the club hierarchy have decided to stick with Howe and have even made him a crucial part of their summer shopping plans. Newcastle are in the market for more striking options despite having Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade. The Magpies have been linked with a couple of intriguing names , the latest of whom is out-of-favour Chelsea striker Jackson.

Jackson is currently on loan at Bayern, where he has spent the majority of his time playing second fiddle to Harry Kane after falling down the pecking order at Chelsea. Despite coming off the bench in the majority of his 29 appearances this season, Jackson has bagged 10 goals and four assists. The original agreement between Bayern and Chelsea included a clause that would have turned the loan into a permanent deal worth £56.
