Fans can vote for their favorite athlete until Wednesday at 5 p. m. Nominees for Bronson Battle Creek Athlete of the Week Rykert Bloch Lakeview Lacrosse Lakeview won the All-City Lacrosse Tournament for the fourth straight time after the Spartans defeated Harper Creek, 7-1, in the tournament final.
Lakeview senior goaltender Rykert Bloch was a standout in the net, pitching a shutout until there was 9:09 remaining in the game and just allowing one goal total. Gianna Burgos Lakeview Girls Track Lakeview sophomore Gianna Burgos helped the Spartans win the girls team title at the annual All-City Track and Field Championships as she was voted co-Most Outstanding Performer for the girls event. Burgos took care of the distance events for the Lakeview girls as she won the 800 in 2:37.
