UCLA women's basketball depth chart for the 2026-2027 season
The 2025-2026 season will be hard to top for the UCLA Bruins. UCLA head coach Cori Close did a good job of replenishing talent in the transfer portal.
The UCLA Bruins were always set to see a ton of talent leave their program following their NCAA national championship earlier this month but UCLA has done a good job of replenishing their talent level through the transfer portal. Cori Close and the Bruins have landed three different top-25 transfers according to CBS Sports’ rankings , getting No. 4 Addy Brown , No.
23 Elina Aarnisalo and No. 24 Donovyn Hunter . The three key transfers will join a largely new-look Bruins team that lost its top six contributors from this year’s championship squad.
With the portal action slowing down, let’s take a look at the potential depth chart for next year’s UCLA squad Point Guard: Elina Aarnisalo/Christina Karamouzi/Somto Okafor Elina Aarnisalo is back for a second stint with the Bruins after one year away at North Carolina. Christina Karamouzi was a part of UCLA’s title team but showed less as a freshman than Aarnisalo did in her first stint with the Bruins. UCLA’s lone incoming freshman, Somto Okafor, joins the Bruins from Spain and it’s still to be seen how college-ready her game is.
Shooting Guard: Donovyn Hunter/Bonnie Deas Close added a lot of talent in the backcourt, with Donovyn Hunter and Bonnie Deas giving her a couple different playstyles to deploy as needed this year for the Bruins. Deas is an exceptionally good rebounding guard, with both players giving Close and the Bruins strong defense. Small Forward: Addy Brown/Lena Bilic Would UCLA choose to use Brown at the three or the four?
