McKenna drops team selection hint and provides squad update ahead of huge Southampton clash Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna says changes are likely for his side’s huge clash with Southampton on Tuesday. Ipswich could essentially secure promotion to the Premier League with a victory, given their far superior goal difference to third-placed Millwall. “But we also have other players ready to go and a squad of people ready to contribute, so in reality there’s going to be a need to freshen up some positions going into Tuesday night and we’ll make a decision on what those positions are. ” Southampton go into the game off the back of their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester City on Saturday. “Probably Southampton are the only team who have had a schedule anything resembling ours over the last few weeks, so maybe it’s one game where we can’t talk so much about freshness as both teams have played a lot,” McKenna said on Tuesday’s opponents.
