Unlike this year’s class, the 2027 draft is expected to be one of the more talented groups in recent memory.
New England is hoping to be picking near the bottom of the first round again. In a way-too-early look ahead, here’s who could be the pick(s) in such a scenario: Patriots 2027 mock draft Pats Pulpit pick: S Koi Perich (Oregon): The Patriots did not add to their safety room in the 2026 draft, which could make the position a need next offseason as Kevin Byard’s one-year deal will expire as he enters his age 34 season. Enter Koi Perich, an extremely athletic and versatile safety who is set to take over the role held by Dillion Thieneman (a personal favorite from this past draft) after transferring from Minnesota to Oregon earlier this year.
SB Nation pick: TE Jamari Johnson (Oregon): Sticking with the Ducks, SB Nation’s James Dator sees the Patriots add the expected top tight end in next year’s draft. Johnson impressed this past season even with first-round pick Kenyon Sadiq on the Ducks’ roster. He is an impressive athlete at 6-foot-5, 257 pounds who would be a big time target for Drake Maye in the passing game.
Entering the 2026 season, they have the sixth-best odds to win Super Bowl LXI on FanDuel Sportsbook . If those odds hold, the Patriots would be picking 27th overall in next year’s draft.
