Scott Parker set for talks over his Burnley future Scott Parker is set for talks with Burnley chairman Alan Pace about his future at the club according to reports. The Clarets' relegation was confirmed last week after a narrow 1-0 loss at home to title chasers Manchester City, which was the team's 22nd loss in the league this season. Only bottom-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers have suffered more defeats so far, 23, and are just three points behind Parker's side.
According to journalist Jamie Jackson of The Guardian , the club will now decide whether Parker will be in charge for next season's Championship campaign. Parker previously led Burnley out of the second tier last season, with Burnley finishing second behind Leeds United despite amassing 100 points. Should Parker leave the club then Steven Gerrard and Wales manager Craig Bellamy are reportedly 'admired' by the Lancashire side.
Burnley are back in action on Friday evening when they face a trip to Elland Road having won just once in the Premier League since November.
