Jackson Acker landed his NFL shot with the Buffalo Bills, signing as an undrafted free agent
Jackson Acker landed his NFL shot with the Buffalo Bills, per Aaron Wilson . The veteran playmaker signed as an undrafted free agent after a five-season run at Wisconsin that showcased the kind of versatility the Badgers have traditionally valued in their backfield and tight end room. Despite being moved around due to changes in coaching philosophy, Acker never left Wisconsin and eventually made the most of his time in Madison.
In 2025, Acker played in 12 games and made three starts at fullback, giving Wisconsin a dependable option in short-yardage and situational packages. Production never told the full story for Acker, but his late-season usage showed why the Buffalo Bills added him to their UDFA list. He finished the year with 55 rushing yards and eight catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.
He also delivered in conversion situations, carrying six times on third down and twice on fourth down and turning every attempt into a first down. #Bills deal for fullback Jackson Acker includes $17,000 signing bonus โ Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson_NFL) April 26, 2026 The combination of a player who can line up in multiple spots, catch the ball, and handle high-leverage snaps, fits what teams hunt on the back end of a roster and on special teams. For Wisconsin, Ackerโs signing adds another example of a role player turning a niche skill set into a pro opportunity.
