Tyler's Jamarion 'Jam' Miller joins Patriots after NFL Draft selection

AP Images Tyler native Jamarion “Jam” Miller is headed to the NFL after being selected by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday. The former Alabama Crimson Tide running back, who graduated from Tyler Legacy High School, was taken with the No. 245 overall pick.

Miller led Alabama in rushing during his final season and finished his college career with 1,596 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also added 40 receptions for 336 yards and two scores. He now joins a Patriots team looking to add depth at running back.
