Romello Height broke as a quality edge rusher in 2025 for Texas Tech.
The San Francisco 49ers addressed their pass-rushing depth with the selection of Texas Tech edge rusher Romello Height in the third round with the No. 70 pick. Height is a 6-foot-3, 239-pounder who started one year at Texas Tech after one year at Georgia Tech.
Injuries befell Height for the beginning of his college career (he also played at Auburn and USC), but the 25-year-old rookie exploded onto the scene in 2025 with 10 sacks, 11. 5 tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles in 2025.
