•Yahoo Sports

Chris Hilton never quite broke out with LSU football, but he'll get a chance to earn a NFL roster spot after signing as undrafted free agent.

Chris Hilton is headed to the NFL. The former LSU football wide receiver signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent. He didn't hear his name called during the 2026 draft, but he will get his shot to compete for a roster spot.

Over five seasons with the Tigers, Hilton played in 38 games with six starts. He dealt with injuries throughout his career but produced when healthy, posting 780 yards and 6 touchdowns on 41 receptions. Hilton posted career highs with 243 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 2024, breaking out towards the end of the year as a serious threat.

The six-foot pass catcher hoped to continue improving as a fifth-year senior but couldn't produce consistent catches as LSU struggled on offense in 2025. Hilton also dealt with a series of injuries throughout his LSU career, but the talent is there. Chris to the Commanders pic.
