Sixers injury news: Joel Embiid to officially return vs. Celtics
Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid will officially return on Sunday in Game 4 against the Boston Celtics.
PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers will welcome their superstar big man back to the lineup on Sunday in Game 4 against the Boston Celtics. After an emergency appendectomy on April 9, Joel Embiid will officially make his return to the court. Embiid was initially listed as doubtful for this contest before then being upgraded to questionable, and after a workout on the floor and being examined by the doctors, he is officially set to return.
One has to wonder what his workload will look like, but coach Nick Nurse stated he isn't sure of any minutes restrictions or whatnot heading into this contest. They will just have to figure things out in the middle of a playoff series. Joel Embiid work pregame #Sixers pic.
