And so Zadorov delivered a cross check and subsequent punch to Buffalo Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin after a play for no reason. It earned Zadorov a ticket out of the game, and it led to some serious feuding before everything settled down. The Sabres were up 6-0 at the time, and went on to win 6-1.
Buffalo leads the Eastern Conference first round series, three games to one. And now Zadorov may have earned himself at least some potential for punishment. This is the sequence: Nikita Zadorov is given a 5-minute major for cross-checking Rasmus Dahlin between play.
