Corinthians beat Vasco, win again in the Brasileirão after nine games After nine rounds, Corinthians finally returned to winning ways in the Brazilian Championship. The drought ended this Sunday (26) in a clash against Vasco at Neo Química Arena. Matheus Bidu made the most of a beautiful assist from Rodrigo Garro and scored the only goal of the match in the 13th round.
Corinthians once again showed a strong ability to defend even with one player fewer on the field. André was shown a straight red card late in the first half and left the team with ten men. Vasco pressed throughout the second half, but created few real scoring chances in search of an equalizer.
The match Corinthians were superior to Vasco for much of the first half. The team coached by Fernando Diniz was more present in the attacking half and was rewarded with a goal. Garro produced a beautiful backheel pass and found Matheus Bidu inside the box.
