But after going undrafted, the Vanderbilt QB and Heisman finalist has an alternate path in Canada if he wants it. In the Canadian Football League, teams often acquire negotiation rights to players who aren't yet in the CFL. Whichever team holds a player's negotiating rights is the one that has the first chance to sign him if he decides to come to Canada and play.
