Kentucky needs to land a 2026 recruit not named Tyran Stokes

The Kentucky Wildcats are still trying to build their roster, and they need to land one of the 2026 recruits besides Tyran Stokes.

The Kentucky Wildcats offseason has, so far, not been a rousing success according to most. They have landed Zoom Diallo and Alex Wilkins, along with Senegalese forward Ousmane N'Diaye , but still need some top-end talent who can take over games. One such player is a 2026 recruit, but not Tyran Stokes.

It's forward Miikka Muurinen . Muurinen is a 6'10", 185 lb forward out of Finland who is set to enter the college ranks, and has the potential to dominate. He's a tremendous athlete who runs the floor like a guard, can score from anywhere on the court, and has a sky-high upside.

Last season, Muurinen played professionally in Serbia last year, and many thought he would skip college in 2026. However, after some changes to the team, he's heading to a college team. A final seven schools have emerged for Muurinen, and the Wildcats are on the list.

They join North Carolina , NC State, Arkansas, and the Duke Blue Devils among others, but would be a terrific fit with Kentucky. He's a perfect match for Pope's offense, and what a power forward should be. Stokes has been the priority for Pope and Kentucky, and for good reason.
