‘You have to avoid that’ – Ruud Gullit reveals his advice for Barcelona star Lamine Yamal

Yamal is currently one of the most high-profile footballers in the world due to his meteoric rise and the sparkling performances he’s put in for Barcelona and Spain since breaking onto the scene.

Gullit has been asked what advice he would give to the teenager and had a few words of wisdom to pass on to the Barcelona forward. “I don’t want to give him any advice; I think he knows exactly what… Well, there is one piece of advice: surround himself with people who don’t always say yes. The worst thing you can have is people who always say yes; that’s not protecting you.

You have to avoid that,” he told La Vanguardia . “He has to build his own team with people who give him the right advice and are there for him, not just for the footballer. ” Gullit’s advices comes just days after he admitted he was really worried Yamal could pick up an injury due to the amount of games he’s playing .

The teenager subsequently sustained a hamstring problem against Celta Vigo that means he won’t play again this season for Barca.
