After a somewhat mixed performance throughout the 25/26 Dota 2 season , BetBoom seems to be finding form at just the right time, with the win at PGL Wallachia Season 8 showcasing what the team can do.

In the grand final, BetBoom easily dispatched Aurora 3-0, and looked to be a clear step ahead of all the other teams in the competition. BetBoom eased through the Swiss group stage, with a 3-0 record that included wins over Team Liquid, Virtus. Pro and Team Falcons, three squads that have all placed highly at other events this season.

Once they hit the playoff stage they dominated Team Spirit 2-0, before coming out on top in a much closer match against Team Liquid. Then it was time for the first matchup against Aurora, who also went 3-0 in the Swiss group stage and took down South American Rejects and Parivision 2-1 in the early stages of the upper bracket. When the two teams clashed for the first time it was a back and forth series with some very long games, including a marathon 82 minute battle, but eventually BetBoom came out on top to secure a spot in the grand final.

Aurora would go on to beat Team Falcons 2-0 in the lower bracket to set up a rematch in the final, but BetBoom just looked to be a clear step ahead on the final day. They took the opening two games of the grand final with ease, despite the first going over an hour, and made Aurora look like they had no answers in map two. Map three started out a little closer than the others, but by the mid game BetBoom had a comfortable lead that they never lost.
