After a friendly appearance last week, Levi Colwill stepped up his return from a season-long injury absence with a full game for Under-21s in their PL2 playoff game against Middlesbrough.
The young Blues got a nice – if narrow – win to make it to the next round. There were a few important people there to watch – two of our five sporting directors, for a start. And a former club legend, according to the Athletic.
JT and sporting directors there to see Colwill comeback “Former Chelsea captain John Terry, also in attendance, appreciated the beautifully weighted pass from his fellow centre-half which put Landon Emenalo in the clear. ” Amusingly, the piece reveals that the two sporting directors in attendance couldn’t be bothered to watch until the end of the 90 minutes. They left Levi and his colleagues to it – and they saw out the game and almost ten minutes of added time safely.

In other news… Jorrel Hato is excited for today’s game – we’re happy that someone is… Wesley Fofana is likely to line up in defence tomorrow, and also has spoken about how much he wants to get a win at Wembley.
