Born in Japan, Matsuzawa โ AKA โThe Tokyo Toeโ โ now brings his leg to Las Vegas. โ Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) April 26, 2026 Matsuzawa could have a legitimate chance to make the Raiders. Right now, they've brought aboard Matthew Gay this offseason, but that's their only other placekicking option under contract.
Matsuzawa had an impressive 2025 college football season and will make a run at the job in Vegas. He's originally born in Japan and wanted to play college soccer there, but he eventually was exposed to American football and taught himself to kick from YouTube videos.
