All 257 picks in the seven rounds of the NFL Draft came and went without Pavia hearing his name called. There is plenty of speculation as to why he didn’t get drafted, whether it’s his attitude or the fact that he didn’t sign an agent, just to name a few. With Pavia now going undrafted, he is now just the second player to come off a season as a Heisman finalist to not get drafted.
The last time we saw this happen came in 2014 with Jordan Lynch. Pavia finished second in Heisman voting with 3,539 passing yards, 29 touchdowns, 862 rushing yards, and 10 rushing touchdowns. There is still hope for Pavia, though, after going undrafted, as teams can still sign the remaining undrafted free agents to deals in hopes of making the final 53-man roster.
