Los Angeles came up just short and lost to the Seattle Seahawks 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game, leaving part of the fan base believing they would add a player early in the draft who could contribute early in the upcoming season. Instead, Los Angeles provided one of the biggest surprises of the draft with the selection of Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson in the first round with the 13th overall pick.
