FSU cornerback signs with AFC West team as UDFA

Jerry Wilson was not selected during the 2026 NFL draft but he will get a shot after signing with the Chicago Bears as an UDFA.

Jerry Wilson is going to have a shot at making an NFL roster. The former FSU cornerback was not selected during the 2026 NFL draft but has signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent, NFL insider Jordan Shultz reports. The terms of the contract were not immediately disclosed.

Wilson spent one season with the Seminoles, joining the team as a transfer from Houston in 2025. He was an immediate starter, playing in all 12 games. Prior to Houston, he signed with Syracuse and was with the Orange for two seasons.

The Kissimmee, Florida, product played in 46 total games in his career. He recorded 103 tackles and eight interceptions, three of which were with Florida State . He is the third former Seminole to sign with an NFL team as an undrafted free agent.

Jacob Rizy and Squirrel White have also signed with NFL teams. The Los Angeles Chargers went 11-6 last season and clinched a playoff berth, but lost to the New England Patriots 16-3 in the AFC Wild Card. The Chargers signed former FSU QB D.
