How many Jackson State players have signed as NFL undrafted free agents? A full list
No Jackson State players were picked in the NFL Draft but some are getting another opportunity. Here's which Tigers signed undrafted free agent deals.
For the third year in a row, no current Jackson State football players were selected in the NFL Draft . Defensive back Isaiah Bolden , a seventh-round pick by the New England Patriots in 2023, was the last player from the program to hear his name called in the draft. He is the third JSU draftee since 2000.
Several former Tigers have been drafted in that span, including Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter in 2025 after finishing their careers at Colorado and Missouri's Kevin Coleman Jr. this year in the fifth round. He played for the Tigers and won SWAC Freshman of the Year in 2022.
Even though selections from Jackson State have been sparse recently, several players have gotten a chance at the NFL by signing undrafted free agent contracts or participating in rookie minicamps. Last season, defensive back Robert McDaniel signed with the Washington Commanders. Running back Irv Mulligan received a minicamp invite from the New York Giants and defensive lineman Phillip Webb received an invite from the Miami Dolphins.
Here are the players from JSU who signed undrafted free agent deals or received rookie minicamp invites this year. Check back here for Jackson State UDFA signings. Tia Reid covers Jackson State sports for the Clarion Ledger .
