The New Orleans Saints have selected defensive back TJ Hall Jr. in Round 7 of the 2026 NFL Draft -- a big, physical defensive back who brings value as a run defender. We’ve reached our final grade of the draft, barring a trade back in, so let’s share our closing thoughts on the Saints’ last selection of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Grade: C The Saints add much-needed depth to their cornerback room by selecting T. J. Hall out of Iowa .
Hall is a bigger-bodied defensive back who stands out in run support and is at his best when playing in phase with receivers through the route. He doesn’t possess many high-end traits to consistently hold up on the outside against top-caliber receivers, but he could carve out a role in the nickel against tight ends while providing physicality against the run. At this stage of the draft, adding depth and versatility makes sense.
