Oklahoma tight end heading to the Tennessee Titans
Oklahoma Sooners tight end heading to the Tennessee Titans in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Oklahoma Sooners went back-to-back in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft . After Robert Spears-Jennings went to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 224 overall, tight end Jaren Kanak followed his former teammate at pick No.
225 to the Tennessee Titans. Kanak's athleticism and speed make him a unique weapon for the Titans' offense. With experience as a wildcat quarterback dating back to high school and with three seasons at linebacker for the Sooners , Kanak is the definition of position versatility.
At tight end in 2025, Kanak caught 44 passes for 533 yards. Teams that will use him as an H-Back or a big slot wide receiver will be able to best take advantage of his skill set. He'll have a role on special teams early in his career with the Titans and could carve out a niche role similar to New Orleans' Taysom Hill, who is a jack of all trades for the Saints.
