Patriots make two sixth-round trades in 2026 NFL Draft

196 and No. 245, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss . With the No.

196 pick, the Patriots double-dipped on the offensive line by taking Texas A&M's massive offensive tackle, Dametrious Crownover. They landed on a player with tremendous upside if his technique improves at the next level. The Patriots also drafted Utah's Caleb Lomu with the 28th overall pick in the first round after trading up with the Buffalo Bills.

The Patriots used multiple Day 3 picks to move up the board in the first two rounds. They came into the draft with 11 picks total and seemed likely to load up on players, but instead, they used those picks as trade ammunition. They managed to get some of those picks back late in the draft for more darts to throw at the board.
