With the No. 206 pick, the Los Angeles Chargers selected Oregon OT Alex Harkey in the NFL draft.

The seventh former Oregon Ducks player to be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft is offensive tackle Alex Harkey . The Los Angeles Chargers picked Harkey with the No. 206 pick in the sixth round, putting him in powder blue in front of former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert.

Harkey, a 6-foot-6, 308-pound anchor for the Ducks , was announced as a guard after playing right tackle in his lone season in Eugene. He transferred to the Ducks from Texas State last offseason and started all but one game on the right side. Although Harkey occasionally struggled with penalties and speed rushers, the Ducks found him useful in outside zone runs and as a lead blocker in space on screen passes.

As a redshirt senior, Harkey earned All-Big Ten honorable mention status with the Ducks. He started all 35 games of his college career at tackle, but many NFL draft experts project the Chargers to move him inside to guard, as he was announced. He joins Emmanuel Pregnon , who was drafted No.

88 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars, as the only Oregon offensive linemen selected this year. Isaiah Worlds, the Ducks' left tackle last season, is still waiting to hear his name called. Harkey impressed teams with his strength as a run blocker and a key figure on Oregon's offensive line, which was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award.
